A place, not a work

Gardens

A Moroccan garden is a piece of engineering that reads as a paradise: the riad turns its back on the street, the Menara basin was dug to irrigate an olive grove, the Agdal has been watering the city since the twelfth century. All of these are places you can stand in, which is the whole reason we paint them.

This is a real address in Marrakech, painted from the geography rather than from anybody's canvas. You can stand where this was painted.
