Arsat Moulay Park

Arsat Moulay Abdeslam was an eighteenth-century royal garden, an arsat is an orchard-garden, laid out by a prince of the Alaouite dynasty between the medina walls and what would become Guéliz. It was restored and opened to the city in 2005 with free internet points among the trees, which is how a two-hundred-year-old orchard came to be known as the Cyber Park.

The olives are old and wide, the oranges fruit in winter, and the gravel walks run in straight lines under them. It is where the city goes to sit in the shade.

The published example of Arsat Moulay Park

The description below explains the studio example shown here. Your portrait is generated separately; objects, pose, light and architectural details can vary.

We paint the walks in late afternoon, when the low sun comes sideways through the olive leaves and lands in soft coins on the gravel. An orange tree carries fruit behind, a warm ochre wall closes the view, and the shade under the big olive is deep and green-brown. Your pet sits on the gravel in the dappled light, with a patterned scarf if you like.

Dark coats need light from the side and a ground that is not darker than they are. This scene gives them both.

Composition suggestions

Black and chocolate coats first, labradors, black cats, dark spaniels, because the sideways light draws the shape of the animal out of the shade. Any dog that would rather lie under a tree than pose in a courtyard. The mood is relaxed and unhurried.

These are editorial preferences, not tested success rates for a breed, coat or temperament. Compare your own preview with the source photo.

The frame

Brown or natural oak-effect, which continue the tree; dark grey if the wall is pale. All eight finishes.

Questions

Before you choose Arsat Moulay Park

Will a dark coat be easier to see here?
The example’s pale gravel may provide useful contrast, but that is a visual suggestion rather than a tested result for dark coats. Inspect eyes, muzzle and the edge of the coat in your own preview.
Will screens or park signs appear?
The intended scene focuses on trees and gravel. Generation can still introduce signs or other objects; request a correction if anything distracts from your pet.
