How to Style Berber Prints and Woven Pieces at Home
A woven wall hanging is not decor. It is a statement of origin — a piece that arrives already carrying meaning, history, intention. The question is not how to make it fit your room. It's how to let your room rise to meet it.
A few principles we believe in:
**Give it space.** A woven piece wants breathing room. Don't crowd it with other objects. A single hanging on a bare white wall says more than twenty pieces competing for attention.
**Let it anchor the room.** Rather than matching a hanging to your existing palette, let it define the palette. Pull one colour from the piece — the warm ochre in a geometric border, the deep indigo in a central medallion — and use it sparingly elsewhere.
**Height matters.** Hang it higher than feels comfortable. Eye level is for photographs. A woven piece should be looked up to slightly, as art in a museum is.
**Fine art prints work differently.** Framing is critical. A natural wood frame for earthy, warm-toned pieces. A museum-white frame for bold geometric work. Black for high-contrast Amazigh designs.
The common thread: trust the work. These pieces were made to be seen.
